How the Journal Is Funded
Institutional Support
All operating costs — platform hosting, DOI registration, similarity screening, copyediting, and preservation — are met by Rumah Sakit Umum Bali Holistik, the journal's publisher.
Volunteer Scholarly Labour
Editors and peer reviewers serve without payment, as an academic contribution to their field. This is normal scholarly practice and is what makes a fee-free model sustainable.
No Advertising, No Sponsorship of Content
The journal accepts no advertising. Any sponsored supplement would be labelled as such and reviewed identically, with the sponsor holding no editorial influence.
Funding Does Not Buy Influence
The publisher's financial support carries no role in the evaluation of manuscripts. Editorial authority rests entirely with the Editor-in-Chief, as set out in Editorial and Publisher Responsibilities.
This model is known as diamond open access. Articles are free to read and free to publish, with costs carried by an institution rather than by authors or readers. It removes the barrier that most often keeps well-conducted imaging research from lower-resourced settings out of the international literature.
Protect Yourself Against Fraud
This Journal Will Never Ask You for Money

Fraudulent operators impersonate legitimate journals and send authors invoices for "publication fees" or "fast-track processing". If you receive any request for payment claiming to come from Radiology Research Journal, it did not come from us.

We never send invoices, payment links, or bank transfer instructions.
We never charge for faster review, guaranteed acceptance, or priority placement in an issue.
We never introduce a charge after submission or after acceptance.
We never ask for card details, bank credentials, or payment through a personal account.
All legitimate correspondence comes from adminradres@gmail.com and concerns your manuscript, never your money.

If you receive a suspicious message, do not pay and do not reply to it. Forward it to adminradres@gmail.com so the editorial office can warn other authors. Offering payment in exchange for acceptance is itself a breach of the journal's Publication Ethics policy and results in immediate rejection.

What Authors Receive at No Cost
Double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent experts.
Professional copyediting, typesetting, and an author proof.
A registered DOI and machine-readable metadata deposited with Crossref.
Immediate open access publication under CC BY 4.0, with copyright retained by the authors.
Long-term digital preservation through PKP PN, LOCKSS/CLOCKSS, and Garuda.
Unrestricted deposit of any version in any repository, with no embargo.
Free Does Not Mean Undemanding

The absence of a fee changes nothing about the standard a manuscript must meet. Every submission is screened for similarity, reviewed by at least two independent experts, and assessed on scientific quality, methodological rigour, originality, ethical conduct, and relevance. Removing the price removes a barrier to participation — never a barrier to scrutiny.
