Publication Frequency

Two issues a year, published in June and December.

Radiology Research Journal (RRJ) publishes two regular issues per volume year. One volume corresponds to one calendar year. Submissions are accepted continuously; there is no submission window tied to an issue.

Publication Schedule

Editorial close [30 April]
Published [30 June]
Issue 2

Submission deadlines are advisory, not gates. A manuscript is assigned to an issue when it completes peer review and production, not according to when it arrived. A submission that clears review quickly may appear in the nearer issue; one that requires an additional revision round moves to the next. Authors are told which issue their article is scheduled for at the point of acceptance.

Special Issues and Supplements

The journal may publish an occasional special issue on a defined theme, or a supplement containing conference proceedings. These are published in addition to the two regular issues and never in place of them.

Every article in a special issue undergoes the same double-anonymous peer review as a regular submission.
Guest editors are approved by the Editor-in-Chief and may not handle their own submissions.
Any sponsorship of a supplement is disclosed on its cover page, and the sponsor has no influence over content or peer review.
No charge applies to special issues or supplements, consistent with the journal's fee-free policy.
Commitment to the Schedule

Publishing on schedule is a condition of continued listing in most indexing services and a signal of a well-run journal. Radiology Research Journal undertakes to release each issue within its stated month. Where an issue must be delayed, an announcement stating the reason and the revised date is published on the journal website, and the annual number of issues is maintained.
