Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

What personal data this journal holds, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

The names and email addresses entered on this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

1. Data We Collect
Registered Users
Name and title, email address, affiliation and country, ORCID identifier, username and encrypted password, biographical statement, reviewing interests, and the roles held on the journal (author, reviewer, editor, reader).
Submission Records
Manuscript files and metadata, co-author details supplied by the corresponding author, editorial correspondence, review reports, decision records, and similarity screening reports.
Technical Data
Server logs recording IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and article download counts, used for security and aggregate usage statistics. Session cookies are used to keep you logged in; the site sets no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Readers Who Subscribe to Notifications
Email address only, used to send new issue announcements. Every notification includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
2. Why We Process It
To operate the editorial process: receiving submissions, assigning reviewers, communicating decisions.
To publish and attribute accepted articles, including author names and affiliations, which necessarily become public.
To deposit article metadata with Crossref, DOAJ, indexing services, and preservation networks.
To maintain the integrity of the scholarly record, including the investigation of ethical concerns.
To secure the website and produce aggregate, non-identifying usage statistics.
3. What Becomes Public and What Stays Private
Published With the Article
Author names, affiliations, ORCID identifiers, and the corresponding author's email address; competing interest and funding statements. This information is permanently public and is distributed to indexing services. Authors should supply an institutional email they are content to publish.
Never Published
Reviewer identities, review reports, editorial correspondence, similarity reports, unsuccessful submissions, and any personal data of registered users who are not authors of a published article.
4. Patient Data
This journal is not a controller of patient data. Authors must not upload identifiable patient information at any stage: manuscripts, images, and supplementary files must be de-identified before submission, and signed consent forms must be retained by the authors rather than sent to the journal. Where the editorial office becomes aware that identifiable patient data has been submitted, the file is removed from the system and the corresponding author is asked to supply a de-identified replacement. Responsibility for lawful processing of patient data rests with the authors and their institutions.
5. Sharing With Third Parties

Personal data is never sold, rented, or released for marketing. It is shared only with the service providers necessary to run the journal, and only to the extent required:

Crossref — article metadata and author names for DOI registration.
Turnitin — manuscript text for similarity screening.
Indexing and preservation services — published metadata and full text.
Hosting provider — storage of the journal platform and its database.

Data may additionally be disclosed where required by law, or to an author's institution in the course of investigating a substantiated allegation of research misconduct.

6. Retention, Security, and Your Rights
Retention
Records relating to published articles are retained indefinitely as part of the scholarly record. Files and correspondence for rejected or withdrawn submissions are retained for [FIVE] years to allow investigation of any subsequent concern, then deleted. Inactive user accounts may be removed on request at any time.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored in hashed form, administrative access is limited to named editorial staff, and the platform and its backups are updated and monitored. No system is perfectly secure; a breach affecting personal data will be notified to those affected without undue delay.
Your Rights
You may request access to the personal data held about you, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your account, restriction of processing, and withdrawal of consent for notifications. Requests are answered within [30] days.
The Limit of Deletion
Authorship of a published article cannot be erased. Removing an author's name from the published record would falsify the scientific literature, so this data is retained regardless of an account deletion, in line with the journal's obligation to maintain an accurate record.
